biography - Thomas Swartz

Thomas Swartz has 35 years of design experience and 18 years of design management in the timber framing industry. Tom's reputation for solving structural design problems is unparallelled in the field.

previous experience:
As a founding partner of Bear Creek Timberwrights, Tom's primary responsibilities included design coordination, drafting and autocad, management of computer network systems, management of employees and shop personnel. Tom provided design work for two structural and civil engineering firms in San Diego, California where he was responsible for solving complex design issues and managing the design teams. His background includes historic architecture, park design, bridge design and design of complex structures.
